I purchased a swing from Falls Furniture on Wednesday, Oct 4, 2023. They said they would deliver it that Friday, Oct 7th. I paid $30 to have it installed as I live alone and had not the means nor capability to hang it myself. The owner and his wife came about 4:00 that afternoon. The owner was shown where I needed the swing installed. He said he wouldn’t install the porch swing since I having some repairs made on my porch. I told him I didn’t have anyone to do the work as of yet because I was having trouble locating a carpenter to come to Rosebud. So no work was quoted nor scheduled. He stated that he didn’t want to install the swing if his work would be taken down. He said to let him know when my work was complete and he would come back to install the swing. I was disheartened that my expensive swing would not be installed as promised/scheduled. Then on Thursday, Oct 19th, I called their store and his wife answered the phone. I said the I was still not able to locate a carpenter to come quote my job. A general contractor who is helping me locate one said he had talked with someone who was busy until January and he didn’t know if he would be interested in coming to Rosebud but he would ask him. Then I told his wife that I wanted the swing installed anyway. I was missing pretty days to use a swing on my porch. She said she would have her husband call me. By the following Wednesday, Oct 25th, I had not been called by the owner nor his wife. So I went back to the store in Lott. I walked in and spoke with a woman behind the counter and told her why I was there. She sneered at me and said “I have heard of you”. I asked her if is was good or bad and she just smiled. I suspected the owner’s wife had been in the shop and saw me pull up and get out of my vehicle. I asked her to have the owner call me with an installation date. Before I got home the owner was calling to say he could come the next day. I said he could come in the afternoon as I had an appointment elsewhere and wouldn’t be free till after noon. He said he couldn’t do that. So he said Friday, Oct 27th would do for him. And on that Friday at 3:14, he called to say it would be late when he got here since he was 2hrs away and still working in a job. I asked if he would like to come the next day, Saturday, to make it easy on him and he said “no”. Then I asked if he could come Monday, Oct 30th and he said “ok”. I asked him to call me Monday to let me know when to expect him. He did not call nor text when he was coming. And as of right now, Mon, Oct 30th, at 7:27pm…. I stayed at home all day waiting for them. As of today, I have not had a swing for 24days in a row (since delivery) to enjoy. I’ll continue this review as I have news to post. As of Thursday, Nov 2, 2023, 7pm, I have not heard from anyone at Falls Furniture in Lott concerning an apology for not showing up this past Monday as scheduled… no ph call nor text message and no knock on my door. Silence. So I will ask elsewhere for aid to install my expensive swing. I hope to at least be able to enjoy it before it gets too cold to be outside. It has now been 27days since delivery of my swing that I have needed it installed.
